I've been laying the groundwork for a plan for reaching out to potential Mensans. I found some instructions for how to create personas. Personas are fictional representatives of the various audiences we want to engage. For example, we could have a persona that represents the parent of a bright child in primary school and another persona that represents mental health professionals who need to know how to deal with a bright child. We should also create personas for existing and lapsed Mensans. To build these personas, we need to conduct semistructured interviews and/or focus groups with people from each audience segment. (Persona development would be an excellent topic for a leadership development workshop!)
